Mid Century Modern to Modern Day

It's amazing what a little paint can do to bring an outdated piece of furniture into the modern day scheme. My client had two girls with completely different tastes - while one was into farmhouse chic, the other is loving Mid Century Modern. The contrast of paint mixed with wood really brought this piece to life and created a classic look.

After finding this chest at a thrift store, I was having a hard time getting over the fact that my client wanted to paint it, but at the same time I was excited to use see the after, knowing how I love a paint/wood combo.

They just don't make them like this anymore with solid woodwork, dove-tailed drawers, and classic lines.

I had fun styling this piece with my collection of gilded frames and mirrors.
