This vanity had lived for years packed away in (rather damp) storage. The woman who previously owned it had intentions of having it refinished but never got around to it. When I found it it was in very rough condition. But, I still couldn't pass it up...Before. I had to remove most if the veneer as it had lifted, warped, and cracked.
After. I love how this piece was wearing it's history and decided a soft, rustic look was more in keeping with that.
I painted it a soft cream and turquoise and changed out the hardware.
I loved the look of the wood under the veneer and ended up staining it gray. I love how it looks! You can find all the details on my blog (link below).
