Upcycle Those Old Coffee Cups!

I had a PLETHORA of coffee cups and was running out of room in the kitchen cabinets. I went though my collection and found a few that weren't very sentimental but that were too good to throw out.
I used some pipe straps to attach them to wooden board and created a perfect organizer for my craft supplies. An alternative option was to use them to hold plants.
It is a pretty straight forward craft, but you need to use a special cobalt drill bit to get through the hard steel hose clamp.

The hardest part was drilling through the steel pipe straps. I used a special metal drill bit to make the hole.





You also need to cut off the excess strap so the clamp lies flush against the wood.





Then just attach the strap with a small screw and tightened the band around the cups. See the final version and how I am using it now at the link below!
