A month ago, I was blessed with a beautiful grandson! I do a lot of repurposing and since his mommy is a huge Batman fanatic, I got a crazy idea to make the Batmobile from the cradle below. Here is the little angel I made it for! My Jaxson!
I was too excited making this, that I forgot to take "during" photos. Here is one of the final. I started with the handmade oak cradle I bought at the throff store for $2. I cut the back to be straight across. For the wheels. I used 4 drawing cups from our scrap pile at work. After 4 coats of black satin spray paint, they do look like real tires! I Used a baby doll headboard that I attached to the back. The front end and find are made from cardboard. I just cut my shapes and attagged with screws! I spray painted the whole thing and we have a Batmobile! I printed out the logo and mod podged it to the hood and found some Ductape just for a lol extra pizazz!
This is just a prop, not meant to ride it or anything. I'm dressing little Jax in his Batman garb and doing a photo shoot! I was just tickled how it came out! It only took me 8 hours. Sounds like a lot, but with no idea how I was planning on making this, not too bad! Plus I had an absolute blast making it! It didn't cost me a penny either!
