DIY Wall Spackle Texture

Applying texture to the walls is easier than you might think. Use All Purpose Spackle applied to clean walls.

You can purchase All Purpose Wall Spackle in a large bucket at any Home Improvement store for under $14. I used a simple wall scraper for applying because it was less difficult to handle.

Start with clean walls and make sure everything is taped prior to beginning. I used the lid of this bucket as my Spackle Pallet.

Applying is similar to frosting a cake. There is no specific technique and you can apply as thin or thick as you like. See Garden Up Green For more Details. Let dry for 48 hours before adding paint.
