Barn Door! You Never Know What You'll Find in the Trash!

Being stationed overseas, we don't have a ton of shopping options when it comes to decorating...decorating our style. Germany's home stores have a very modern look and design trends in the states are more up to date.

A few months ago, my husband was walking our dog and saw that a local carpentry business had thrown out a bunch of wood. He brought it home knowing I would make something of it and in the pile was this incredible and authentic barn door.

We ordered the hanging hardware from Lowes and had my in-laws ship it over since Lowes doesn't ship APO. After fixing some of the rickety parts and rubbing it down with oil, the 100 yr old door came to life.

The barn door added a lot of character to our home. The only cost was $180 for the hardware.
