How to Make Your Ugly Electrical Box Disappear

Do you have an eyesore like this one? Would you like to make it virtually disappear while still keeping it functional? If so, keep reading!

When we updated our builder grade laundry room with farmhouse charm, we had a problem. A big one. This huge electrical box was an eyesore that took up a large part of one wall. What to do? What to do? I thought about painting it, but really wanted to get rid of it all together! Of course that wasn't really an option.
After sleeping on it, I got an idea...I could disguise it!





I got to work cutting a piece of drop cloth to size, then created this arrows stencil and cut it out with my Silhouette.





A little bit of paint was all it took to make this easy and custom DIY artwork to hang on the electrical box!





Once the paint dried, I glued some button magnets to the back and then hung it up! It couldn't have been simpler, but now you don't even see the electrical box!! Instead, you see this lovely handmade art hanging right over top of it. It's easy enough to remove when we need to access the electrical box and then simply pop it back up!
