Room Design: Kitchen Reveal

Can you believe that this is what we originally started with?

Seriously guys. I cannot even begin to tell you how long I have been wanting to finish up on this project, and then show you this incredible kitchen reveal!
It seemed like every time we got ready to do the shelving or something else, life would get in the way. You know how that goes!

What’s funny though, is that I had no idea that I would take this route.
Originally I was going to go for more lighter tones, but at the last minute Mike and I wanted to use bright pops of color!
For instance, our DIY Kitchen Backsplash was supposed to be done in tile, but the neutral tones just did not appeal to me whatsoever. Then, it was going to be gray, but as you can see… navy blue was the way to go!
Plus, it’s my own design! Can you believe that this little beauty is an outline of a palm leaf?!
Have you noticed how much I have been leaning towards designing all of my own printables, fabric, and clipart? Expect to see a lot of this going on in the future :)
