One Farmhouse Table, Two Leg Style Options

I've wanted a farmhouse table for a long time, so when I came across a pile of boards in my parents fire pit, I got right to work building one for our family. I love the way these tables look with their huge space and bigger charm.
As I set to work, I had an idea of what it would look like in my head. I don't usually go off of plans, just build as I go. I love the way it turned out and feel just a little happier every time I see it.
So, are you as in love with the farmhouse look as I am? Then follow along for a look at how to make this farmhouse table. This post is just a summary of the steps. The full tutorial can be found on http://charmingimperfections.com/2015/08/diy-farmhouse-table-with-2-leg-options.html. See ya there!

Make your measurements and cuts and start assembling the legs like so. I used glue and screws to hold them together.

Next, attach the top and bottom boards to the center leg you just made.

Finally the diagonal support pieces are glued and screwed.

Look at those lovely legs. Another supporting board is cut to the length of the table top. The steps for making the table top can be found on http://charmingimperfections.com/2015/08/diy-farmhouse-table-with-2-leg-options.html

It was beautiful and charming, but sometimes I like to play around with things and had the idea of flipping the legs over. It never hurts to try!

For some reason I liked this look better. It's uniqueness seems to accentuate the shape of the legs.
