Rescued Basement Window

When my husband was throwing out some old windows I grabbed this one. I didn't know what I would do with it until I learned of Rustoleum Mirror Image on this site. I started my little project and I love how it turned out, exactly like I wanted.

This is the back of the window after spraying two coats of Rustoleum Mirror Image, followed by a clear coat spray finish to protect it from the weather.

I had painted the wood with cream chalk paint but it didn't look vintage enough so I rubbed it with brown craft paint then sprayed with clear coat to protect the finish. I added the wooden box after finishing with the same method, to add artificial plants.

Finished project! We put the lock on the front and added my little pretend squirrel. It really adds to the area.
