If you're planning a large gathering or a wedding, table numbers can keep things organized and add a special touch to each table. You can go all out and order elaborate floral arrangements to house your numbers, or you can diy using simple terracotta pots, moss and a cuttings from your yard. For this centerpiece, I painted small terracotta pots with craft paint. Paint the bottom part first with white paint and once it's dry, add the gold paint to the rim. Insert a piece of floral foam and then cover with moss. Use cuttings from fern plants and other hardy bushes from your garden. I also added a small stem that still had some small acorn caps attached.
To write on the wood slice, I used a stencil. I penciled the outline and then filled in the number with a fine black pen.
This is a fun and inexpensive way to spruce up a table. To add even more of a Woodland look, add a few mushrooms or small deer figurines.
